Maybe I’m just weird (probably), but the cost of something has absolutely nothing to do with my choice of a tip. If item + what I feel is an acceptable tip = more than I want to spend, I simply don’t purchase that thing, not tip less.

Yup. Gateway E-475M. It has trouble transcoding some plex streams, but it keeps chugging along. $5 well spent.

I see, I misread. It is a shame it’s so hard to find non-chinese power tools. Even “All American” brands like Snap-on, Matco, Mac Tools, all just sell over priced chinese drills with a warranty.

That’s how most manufacturing works. But just because 2 different brands roll out of the same factory, doesn’t mean they are the same thing with different labels. Brands like Milwaukee and Makita are going to have completely different specs and manufacturing price points than someone like Ryobi or Harbor Freight’s house brands.

Yeah. I keep one of these around just for older Yamaha and newer Kawasaki equipment. You’ll end up drilling half of them out if you try to use #3 ISO.

I’m in the powersports/agricultural industry, so we tend to lag behind everyone else.

Kawasaki is still holding on strong to JIS screws in it’s machinery.
