Unrelated but does Eternity correctly support Links now? (to comments / threads)
This drove me to Jerboa, but I prefer Eternity’s UI so I’d be pleased to go back if that’s fixed.

At least in Austria the first e in Mercedes is much closer to e than to ä.
On the other hand many actual ä are also much closer to e than to ä in Austria so ig it might be different in Germany.
I like to say that there was a bad side and an even worse side, so I’m glad the bad side won.
But then there’s also the seven heads (seven trump headquarters), getting shot in the head thinking it’s fatal but surviving seemingly through a miracle, the ones about his relations to the kingdom to the south, resulting in criticism from the north and east etc
Of course it’s coincidence (at some point there just has to be someone who can be accurately described with these prophecies) but it’s still very interesting
I don’t believe in the coming of an antichrist but damn, why do so many prophecies written two millennia ago point to one specific person, especially when those prophecies are so specific
I like to read the biblical texts as texts you have to interpret. Basically like fairytales and fables are in versions that aren’t from the brothers Grimm and especially Disney - they often were used to carry points that wouldn’t have been tolerated by authority if they hadn’t been covered like that, or simply to tell about some aspects of life.
When reading it like this the Bible is an extremely interesting book, and I’m saying that as an atheist.
I’m using Firefox as my only browser. If everything works in Firefox that’s fine for me.
That’s the best advantage of only making websites / web applications for fun (for friend groups, video games, family etc)
Elder blossom syrup?
Wouldn’t e halfway to a be ä
The short e in Mercedes is much closer to e than to ä
The difference is so narrow that I wouldn’t notice any difference apart from the length, the first and last e are very slightly shorter than the middle e. And of course you have the usual going-down-with-your-voice-at-the-end-of-the-word
Karl Habsburg currently would be the emperor. But obviously he simply has the same rights as any other citizen (doesn’t even have a “von” anymore), as it should be, so he isn’t politically relevant
Then minister of inner affairs Herbert Kickl (who is now likely to become chancellor)
Is he? Every single party has said they will not be forming a coalition with Kickl.
My bet is that either the FPÖ drops Kickl (which is possible but unlikely since he brought them their best result in all of their history, 29%), forming a coalition with the ÖVP (People’s Party), or they refuse to drop him (more likely) and the ÖVP forms a coalition with the SPÖ (social democrats) and NEOS (economically right (less regulation), else left).
Update: They won, but every single party has said they will not work together with Herbert Kickl. Maybe with the FPÖ without him though (they didn’t specifically rule that out), but I doubt the FPÖ will be willing to drop him after getting their best result in history so far (nearly 29%).
The only possible coalitions without it would be ÖVP (people’s party) + SPÖ (social democratic party) + NEOS (center (economic right (less regulation) else left)) or ÖVP + SPÖ + Green Party.
Technically ÖVP + SPÖ would also work by a very slim margin (out of 92 needed mandates to form a coalition (183 mandates in total) they’re getting 92 or 93) but wouldn’t hold much power (failing to get a majority if one single mandate doesn’t agree to something) which is why it’s more likely that they also include NEOS or the green party.
Is the planet special or is it a bait headline?
It’ll get better, Reddit just is over a decade ahead in posts so it obviously has much more.
Phone: Screen protector, protective case
30€ but still: raspberry pi (v4, 2 GB RAM)
Quit using Reddit for like a year after the API changes, then used it again for like a week primarily to search for an alternative (… Reddit sadly still is best for searching information), used both for a while before I stopped using it again, this time primarily because it’s overrun by bots and the first party app is absolutely awful and I still heavily dislike their API decisions.
Only Lemmy now :)
I’m also a huge open source fan
And the brain drain on Reddit is real.
I see trucks carrying butane tanks all the time
That’s not the equivalent to battery replacements but to the power grid, which of course is yet another win for EV (since clearly distributing the energy source for vehicles over the power grid is safer and more environmentally friendly than needing huge trucks to carry it).
(I’d say battery replacements are closest to motor replacements in gas cars in terms of costs and effort. What about the environmental impact? -> That’s why it’s so costly. To mitigate environmental impact.)
The only thing that carried me through rough times was a hobby where I regularly meet a group of people for sports. Then you live so you can go there again the next week.
