I’m using SEARXNG. It’s a search engine aggrigate and you can mix and match where you want your results to come from. It’s like using Google from a decade ago.

Sounds perfect for my needs.
The fact you caught this pic with a camera from 40 years ago (without burst frames) is pretty dang cool.
For this same reason, he’s one of my favorites.
This was more of a comment on the poster above feeling like he’s gonna be irrelevant when he’s older. That’s not true, at least in my experience, if you are passionate about IT, your knowledge will age like fine wine.
I didn’t mean to imply that you should have all the experience right out of the gate, just that you may start out thinking you know all that and will be irrelevant by 30, but that’s not the case. Wait until you find out all the stuff you don’t know! (this is a good thing, not bad)
That’s funny because I’m an old person in IT and we struggle to find new hires that know how to troubleshoot beyond basic issues. Most of them might have been the techy for thier family but few have experience with actual enterprise solutions, that’s only something that comes with experience.
Do Oreos count? If not, Swedish Fish.
I’m kinda not mad that he’s crazy AND vocal. What I’m more worried about is when maybe when he older and wiser he shuts up and just starts funneling all that money towards his nutto crazy talk. At least now you can hear him coming.
So the way I read it, if you want to opt in, you make the new changes they state in your yml. I didn’t and just hit upgrade to pull the new images and it worked fine. I don’t see any issues, but I’ll be glad if someone says I did it wrong.
I think it’s only breaking if you pull the new yml and don’t move your data.
Not a recommendation per se, but if you like to ugly cry watch “Dear Evan Hanson”
We gonna have to worry about 7zip?
Thanks for this, switched from Weather Underground
Nobody drinks the first part of that and thinks it’s “pretty good.”
Not a movie, but when I was dating my wife, our college had “The Fantasticks” musical that came to town. The production was so terrible I would guess that 1/3 of the audience left at intermission. This was a professional traveling group and it had to be obvious to them that so many people didn’t return for the second half.
Sounds like a blessing not a curse. Get that colon cleansing!
Vista was FULL of security issues though. I did PC support in that era and I kept going to one house in particular because they would pick up some crazy virus / Spyware from thier kid visiting sketchy porn sites. Didn’t matter what I did or how I locked it down, or what AV I installed he would manage to get it reinfected. After the 8th time or so I just made them buy a XP license and told them they need to have a hard talk with thier kid about all the sites he was visiting. Once I had XP installed and appropriate AV, it stopped being an issue.
Edit: Whoops, nevermind it was Windows ME. Carry on with your Vista love (though I’m still not sure why you loved it)
Second for Reolink. I’m just using local SDcard storage atm, but might consider something like Frigate, just hasn’t been needed yet. Got 3 cameras and 2 doorbells, all hooked into Home Assistant.
Salt and Pepper grinder from a well recommended brand. Was like 80 bucks for the set and it’s not better than the ones I get from Sam’s Club. Infact it’s worse. Disappointing.
I can buy it in Iowa. It’s good stuff.
There are hosted versions you can just use without installing at home.
