I will warn you it’s a bit of a hassle to get working due to GIMP and Python’s version hell.
If you want me to try and help, feel free to DM me and I’ll do my best. I’ve only done like 4 successful prints with it so far.
I work in the screen printing industry and one of the things that is generally very difficult to do without many hours of work is take a photographic image and make it work for the screen printing press. An expert can do it in 15-30 minutes.
For most non skin-tone images (we generally fall back to heat transfer for human faces), I wrote a GIMP plugin (in Python) that allows you to extract each color of the image into its own layer with an automated process that’s done in a few seconds.
It’s not as good as the expert result, but it’s also infinitely easier to do. Also, GIMP 3 released like a month after this was finished and I don’t know if I can be bothered to port it.
Here’s the page for the project: https://github.com/otacon239/inksplit
without assurances they won’t be tortured
That’s just it. They’re not even saying that.
I guess I have to put my foot in my mouth over a comment I made a month or so back. I had said an XBOX handheld would sell out against the Steam Deck simply due to brand recognition.
This was of course before I thought they’d be dumb enough to make a console twice as expensive aimed at the mass market. If this was targeted at the same price as the Deck, they might have had a chance.
I don’t know anyone that would consider one of these now.
Big Time conspiracy. I love it.

I agree that listening in public is a crime.
On a side note, if anyone here has heard some of the latest gen iPhones, they honestly sound dramatically better than the vast majority of Bluetooth speakers, especially when held sideways for stereo. At medium volume with my eyes closed, it sounds comparable to my MacBook speakers. I’m seriously shocked at whatever magic Apple is pulling off there.
Obviously neither compare to an audiophile setup, but they’re far above listenable.
I’ve not yet heard an Android compare personally, but I’d love to be proven wrong.

I honestly recommend everything from them if you’re looking for unique sound. The He.art album by Astrix also has some weird.
Enigma also has some great soundscapes. My personal favorite album is MCMX A.D.
G-Dang it! I normally have no filter for profanity, so people always laugh when I use it. I stole it from the Neature Walk series on YouTube.
But that’s exactly what an encyclopedia is. The internet isn’t Wikipedia. The real difference was that the library was now in your living room. You didn’t have to hope they had the material on hand and wait weeks for something specific if they didn’t have it already on hand.
There’s also just the idea that, with a library, you already have to have an idea of what to look for. You’re always browsing by genre in an alphabetical, organized fashion. With the internet, it could become discovery-based. One link could lead you to 13 others and those all branched again. You never knew what to expect.
A book contains either one really clear idea, or a reference with no substance to a bunch of random stuff.
A progressive wave? Progress??? IN MY COUNTRY?!?!?!
There’s other hand-craft trades that don’t involve sewage. If you get into the commercial space, there’s a good chance you’d deal with it a lot less if at all since they would need a specialist for biohazards.
Pointlesssites.com is a treasure trove of weird and interesting sites that’s still up today and still gets updated. If you find ones that don’t work, Wayback is your best friend for this site.
My personal favorite is tane.us
This was me with the word ‘cusotmer’. Just had to force myself to relearn it.
It’s like if the It’s Always Sunny characters took more effort to pretend they were good people, but silently ruin the lives of everyone around them.
I actually enjoyed it if only because it can give some context on how people justify some of the absolutely insane things they do. Very much a slow burn.
Yeah, even if it’s a big brand attachment or whatever, I’m never going to complain about a big charity donation. (as long as it’s not a bogus charity, of course)
I don’t know that everyone can shut their mouths ;)
