Maybe you might find home in one of those NAS ootimized distros like Openmediavault, truenas, unraid. If not CasaOS or old good Debian with portainer.
I second this, it’s what I have on my Lenovo M710Q, crazy stable and lightweight.
You definitely want an 8th gen (Intel) or better to have Jellyfin Quick Sync support. It’s what I have (i5-8400T) and it offer a fairly decent AVC (h264) and HEVC (h265) transcoding for my usage. However, for futur proofing consider an 11th gen for the AV1 support.
Can i use it to store my note in plain markdown format instead of in some kind of database?
Would you please share what dynamic dns provider you use? I remember trying to set nginx pm to use my no-ip hostname (xyz.ddns.net) but I could not figure out how to link my hosted-services as subdomains (say portainer.xyz.ddns.net)
They need a swastika, I mean a good loving neighbor.
Looks great, I’m definitely checking it this weekend. Thank for the share
PWA that works offline and syncs when back online. Note that this means that all files will be on your device
Someone else mentioned Silverbullet, I hosted on my home server and it looks promising, here are a few thing I will need to explore:

Obaidian + Syncthing will do the trick.

This is it, with a REM cycle lasting about 90min, I find 7 REMs (7h30m~ 8H) to be the perfect lenght especially if I went to bed at 23h00.
Mtp is your friend, here is hiw I do it on my devices (samsung a23 and both opensuse and arch):
I connect my phone to my pc. Then select mtp in the phone notification.
Start my file manager (dolphine or whatever) and access my phone storage from there.
Make sure to allow the notification on the phone asking if you want to sahre your storage with the external device.
lspci shows Realtek RTL8852AE which is a Wifi6 (ax) adapter, It may not support the latest standard but I don’t think it’s that old.
No problem here with Opensuse slowroll (Sway WM) and a Realtek bluetootth radio, I’m using blueman for managing enabling/managing bluetooth connections.
Xrdp with it default configuration on debain12 worked for me pretty fine to access it from windows 7’s remote desktop protocol on a local network. There was no sound though, so you may need to tweak it to use pipewire or whatever you are using on your linux machine, if you are using any.
Dejavu is the right font for me for both ebglush and arabic letters.
Compare the SN number in the SMART output with the SN on the drive, they should be the same or else theseller showed you uncorrect SMART output or uncorrect drive.
“Coming soon” for me started when major DEs started abandoning xorg, not when they adopted wayland.
With a SOC like that, that no way will only serve as a NAS, i can see my self easily hosting a dozen container on it and a couple VMs. That said, 12Gb is quite sufficient for my need.
