You don’t pay VAT on a personal transaction though. But the girlfriend would probably have to pay income tax.

Well, that was pretty insulting to pieces of shit…
It’s honestly not that complicated.
You first need an indexer. This is the software that Sonarr, Radarr and Lidarr uses to search for torrents. Prowlarr is an indexer and is where you connect to a tracker.
Then you obviously need a download client. Something like qBittorrent. Then on Radarr, Sonarr and Lidarr you add qBittorrent as the download client.
When you search for a movie on Radarr, it will send the request to Prowlarr, which looks at your tracker and then send the results back to Radarr. When you click the movie you want, then Radarr sends the torrent to the download client aka qBittorrent.
Simple, yes. I probably forgot something though. Plex or Jellyfin to actually watch the content.
Prowlarr > Sonarr > qBittorrent > Jellyfin

I guess the tracker can see the seeders, but your client can’t connect to them maybe?
Voyager all the way. It’s simple and fast to use. Never had any issues.
Yes. You can read more about it in the article.
It’s really awesome work you guys are doing. Unfortunately I don’t use Windows, so I won’t be able to use it.
Not by default. But I can’t remember if you can actually set up AI with the selfhosted version.
You can selfhost it. The reason it’s expensive, is because of their AI stuff, I think.
I haven’t had much experience with it myself. I shortly selfhosted it myself. I know it works for most social media, including Lemmy. Not sure about Mastodon and Blusky.
There’s Postiz?
That has already been done: https://zeronet.io/
PeerTube has its own frontend (User Interface). Do you mean a “provider”/instance like PeerTube.wtf?
Because Google ads isn’t the only source of income nor the biggest.
Best you can do is ask some of these content creators to also post their videos to PeerTube.
PeerTube has built-in syncing of YouTube channels, so it’s fairly easy once it’s set up.
It’s all just part of their addons, so you choose yourself if you want AI. You can even choose to have local AI, if you don’t want to use an external AI, which I believe is ChatGPT.
The Hetzner Storage Share lacks a lot of features that Nextcloud IONOS have. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t think Hetzner has an office suite for Nextcloud?
What about private messages between users?
When posting or saying something in public, there’s no way to retract it.
There’s no difference from posting something on “the Fediverse” or Reddit. Just because you delete your post, does not guarantee that it’s gone. Reddit most likely keep a copy of it anyway and there’s sites that save everything that’s posted on Reddit. so the “issue” is not exclusive to Lemmy.
What you want to aim for is anonymity.
