That was really informative - so much so you should watch it… but if you really can’t; there are 6 types of data broker and these services only target 1 and in that one they only manage to remove ~1.5% of that data in 6 months of membership.

Sorry I should have clarified; the notifications on replies are when I reply to someone else’s post. If I start a new thread I just notice I don’t get any replies or notifications. My posts are just removed completely, I’d say it happens to around 50% of my comments on YT. I suspect I’ve been mass-reported by right wing bots, and my account is now marked for extra censorship in some way.
When I post something about Musk/Tesla it posts successfully, I get replies to the thread, and I can see my post, but if I view the same thread without being logged in, my reply is missing.
Has anyone else noticed any slightly negative comment on YouTube regarding Musk/Tesla gets immediately shadow banned?
Still in warranty or less than 3 years old? I saw the Reddit post on this issue, might still be worth asking, they may have developed a hardware of software fix, and if not they may allow you to switch model.
That noise is the heads being cleaned, which needs to happen on all inkjet printers. It may be that your one was simply broken. I bet if you call Brother and ask for some advice they will help you.
Called brother about this and talked through the issues raised by Rossmann, they convinced me enough to buy 3 printers from them this month.
Which printer and why? I just bought three L8690CDW Colour laser printers for me and my family after calling Brother who were happy to talk me thought my concerns, they informed me that this model does not have chipped cartridges so it’s ineligible for their cartridge subscription program and they also can’t tell if the cartridge is genuine or not. They don’t care if you use 3rd party toner.
Don’t worry Apple is just paying a team of Indian linguists to listen to all your conversations and translate them in real time.
Seriously tho, fuck songs and radio adverts with sirens in them.
I’ve just been making a wardrobe in an alcove where in the space of 1200mm they have managed to be out by 40mm (1.5 inches in 4ft for our American folks) Trying to be within 1-2mm and deciding on referencing a side wall that’s curved but making the room “more square”, and having a variable depth wardrobe or making something that looks right but that I know is a parallelogram. Either way a future guy with a tape measure will ask “what idiot built this?”
Can we start with all Trump and Musk assets?
Y’all need to overthrow your corrupt dictatorship government before it fully takes over the media and military command.
OP is the same name as the author. OP posts only articles from this site with very low effort copy/paste titles. OP seems to run the site which is 90% adverts and probably AI generated summaries of genuine articles, and uses social media to drive clicks. Sad really, and just populates Lemmy with low effort content.
So you do work for them then?
I’m guessing this is a bot or employee of this publication, do not click. It’s talking about Scottish people having less savings than the rest of the UK. The site has a delay between clicking Cookie options and showing the next page to trick you into selecting “Accept All”.
I can see the point that foldable iPhones are coming, and Apple need practice making packages as thin as possible. If it means the non-pro models get a little thinner then great, as long as the cost of this R&D testing isn’t all loaded on the price of this year’s models, because no one cares about a 1mm difference.
We have two doors that go into the garden, one in the dining room one in the kitchen, if we let our rescue Collie out of one she will wait by the other to be let in. Collies are smart, ours is defective.
I’ve come to the end of my patience with hotmail/live, my email is out there on a list so I get tens of spam mails a day and they almost never correctly identify them, but any new service I sign up to and it goes straight to spam.
Proton mail seems expensive for a single offering and the bundle has too many unnecessary things I don’t need. Also the lack of protocol support means you are restricted on clients you can use.
I’m pleased you posted this as I’m going to give all these a try too, but I’m becoming a pessimist and I’m thinking as soon as I’ve fully switched they will put up the price. Your personal email is becoming one of the hardest things to change.
My top priority is the ability to have individual addresses for each service I use going to a single inbox, that way if my email is leaked by a company, I can just nuke that alias, and I’ll know who leaked it. May be a good feature for you too?
When I knew my income was going to be destroyed I prepared by stopping all my outgoing subscriptions immediately. Changed phone plan to bare minimum etc. traded our car in for electric which cut our fuel bill from £100pm to £15. Finally I’m slowly selling my stuff, but I’m now at the stage where I have a 10 yr old laptop, 8yr old phone and something is going to break soon. Fun times.
