I am against animal agriculture for the same reason I am against sexism, racism, ableism, classism and homophobia.

The circumstances of a creatures birth does not dictate what it is “meant for”, every one deserves to live happy, healthily and with dignity, but some simply want to live.

  • Okay, so I’m a queer woman who is gonna do her best to level wit you. The problem is that you’re trying to come up with a sexuality based on exclusion, which inherently is going to be bigoted.

If you’re a straight man, you’re attracted to women. But if you were to say “only white women tho” then it’s clearly coming from a racialized place, even if you insist that you’re not racist, your limitations on who you are willing to consider a dateable woman says other wise. Conversely, if you were a white man who says “only asian women tho”, that’s again coming from a racialized and fetishized place. Even if it’s subconscious and unrealized bias that makes sense in your head, the context of fetishized communities is still racism.

So on the same note, it’s hypocritical to say “trans women are women” while categorically insisting that you would never date one. Does this include Trans women who have bottom surgery and pass as cis? If so, then visual attraction isn’t the only factor. If not, then clearly “super straight” has some caveats making the term meaningless.

Anytime you’re trying to define “everyone but X”, you’re inherently embracing a bigoted stance. Does this mean you’re required to date any and all women who ask you out? No, of course not. But to defining an entire category undateable speaks to bias. Lesbian women are attracted to women instead of attracted to “not men”, gay men are attracted to men instead of “not women”. To say categorical trans folk do not apply there is by definition trans exclusionary. On a case by case basis, a trans person can be rejected without bias, but categorically doesn’t just imply bias, but is such.

  • I mean. Okay? Maybe? But that’s not really the point?

I’m just trying to address how unrealistic you thought this comic was. But it is a accurate depiction of a regular experince for many women’s lives.

Honestly it seems like you’re just trying to “win” the discussion by correcting others. When women talk about the problems they face, it’s not helpful for you to go “That doesn’t happen”.

  • Both constantly and never. I was born to teen parents, so as far back as I can remember, every other day, my Dad would constantly say “Whatever you do, don’t get her pregnant.” Even when I was far too young to understand what pregnant or sex was.

But the closest thing I got to “the talk” was when I was 17 and he randomly barges into the living, throws a pack of condoms at me, says “wrap your schlong” and then keeps walking to his bedroom.

Later that night I told him that A) I wasn’t having sex B) didn’t plan on it and C) that I wasn’t even sure what to do with a condom or how throwing one at me was helpful. He shrugged “Sorry I don’t have ace parenting skills or whatever” and that was the end of it.

I thought I learned how to have sex by watching porn, but… obviously that wasn’t true so I had to be taught everything by partners. Including extremely basic things like what semen, periods or orgasms were.

    Thanks Dad…

  • don’t believe that is the case at .08… that’s a little buzz.

And a little buzz is too much to drive with? Respectfully, that is just rearranging titanic deck chairs. Buzzed driving should be illegal too.

As a society, we have to draw the line somewhere. Personally I am happy the line for driving 2 tons of steel is BEFORE someone feels the affect of alcohol. Driving is dangerous enough as is, buzzed still slows reaction times.

  • While we don’t make a habit of it, both of us walk in front of the other when getting out of the shower or getting dressed for the day. It’s just a part of life, nothing sexual about it. We’ve also given various small compliments about each other, generally after one of us gets a tattoo, but we have both discussed than anything about each other genitals is just weird and unwanted. We really are the greatest for each other. 😂

Having said that, she asked me to post a picture of her breasts a lil while ago, in my post history, but that’s the most sexual thing either of us have suggested. And it was just taking a few photos than a movie, not like past GFs that wanted to turn that in to sex.

Now I’m curious myself, is nudity a hurdle for you? Fully valid and no judgement, just wondering. :)

  • I understand this well. Spent a few decades in dysfunctional relationships rooted in my lack of sexual desire. Happily married to another ace woman today, where sex is only ever suggested as part of joke and we’ve never even came close. She is liberating, freeing, incredible and safe.

Yet I still hold a lot of guilt from previous partners who spent time thinking something was wrong with them or I was cheating because I always made “not tonight” excuses for several years straight. It wasn’t fair to either of us, but my lack of introspection, self-honesty and fear of being alone kept us years of strife.

Things are wonderful now, no complaints but GAWD a lot of heart ache could’ve been avoided if I had a *normal" sex drive.

  • “Brevard Public Schools (BPS) was made aware that a teacher at Satellite High School had been referring to a student by a name other than their legal name, without parental permission when the parent reached out to us. This directly violates state law and the district’s standardized process for written parental consent.

“BPS supports parents’ rights to be the primary decision-makers in their children’s lives, and Florida law affirms their right to be informed.

Cruel, vindictive, inhumane and depraved control by the parents. The child is in danger and now knows that even trusted adults can’t be trusted when their parents go digging. Without a doubt the child is being verbally abused for daring to control their own identity.

Disgusting law, disgusting people and disgusting country.

  • Will Cory Booker be giving multiple 25 hour speeches per day for multiple years? Because I just don’t see Dems doing much more than coasting off this for the next four years.

The only actionable thing that was accomplished was a black senator took the record for longest speech from a segregationist arguing against people like Booker being able to safely vote. Which for that alone he should be congrulated and celebrated.
