Good ass list. Cat People rocks.
Good ass list. Cat People rocks.
That’s actually really funny.
Oh, I had to go look up what Evercade is. I thought this was going to be the rumored remasters of these games.
Evercade seems interesting, but it’s kind of a strange concept. Like a generalized nostalgia for a console that never existed. I think if I’m not playing games on their original hardware, I would rather emulate on a retro handheld than pretend that I’m getting an authentic retro experience off a ROM on a newly produced cartridge for a modern device. This is like a compromise, I guess? Anyone here liking Evercade?
Funny you say that. Mario Kart DS was peak offline social gaming for me. Back when it came out, lots of kids at my high school carried their DS on them and lunch was nothing but Mario Kart. At least it was among marching band nerds. And if someone happened to have a DS but not Mario Kart, we’d just do Download Play so they can at least join us in a limited capacity.
I don’t know anything about this game/series, but that looks like such a cool bundle. If I found that as a kid, I would be hyped as hell to play it. Can just imagine unfolding that packaging with all the discs would feel like opening a treasure chest.
Look, I love the guy, but 90 minutes of Charles Martinet wahoo-ing through the Mario movie would be completely unwatchable. There’s a reason Mario almost never says more than a few words at a time.
The Oracle games had GBA releases? Wow, that’s news to me.
Seemed like a huge risk releasing an original movie and its sequel months apart. And he’s already shooting part 3.
The Jak & Daxter sequels tend to be a huge challenge to emulate. Thankfully we’ve got OpenGOAL for that.
Or just learn what liberals actually stand for. It all makes sense then.
Average IOF soldier.
The obvious answer would be Black & White and its sequel, which for many is the definitive god game. You’re an untouchable god interacting with your world and physically manipulating it with your hand, but you also have a giant animal familiar that you raise to also interact with the people. You create miracles and either help or terrorize the population into following you. Not much combat if that’s what you’re looking for, but it’s a unique game that unfortunately has not seen a worthy successor in 20+ years.
I thought Furiosa was excellent, but it filled in enough details of this version of the Wasteland that I don’t want to see it revisited. Would be excited if Miller has another self-contained story he wants to make in a different time and place of the Mad Max mythology with all new characters, but I suspect WB is not willing to take that risk. If MM doesn’t draw in audience for a Wasteland-verse of connected stories, they’ll just axe it.
You heard it here: Refusing to mislabel refugees as “illegal” is the problem, not drowning them.

Maybe these cars don’t classify as SUVs by some metric, but they are definitely not small. Every vehicle in the US has gotten bigger in the last decade and EVs are no exception.
I drive a Leaf. I wish it was much smaller.
They’re already fucking huge. Every EV in the US is an SUV or pickup. You want a small electric commuter in 2024, your only option is an ebike.
Doesn’t matter. If your PC is ever compromised, that feature is a one stop shop for stealing everything you have ever done on your computer.
The open source promise was many years ago, wasn’t it? And the dev’s been quiet about it ever since? I won’t expect it to go FOSS ever.
