  • Votes. People vote with emotions and fear is one of the most powerful emotion.

This is for giving the various people scared by a world where there are (and will be) more and more deadly diseases (due to intensive farming and whatnots) a simple, reassuring and deadly wrong answer: it’s all a big conspiracy theory for big pharma to make money and for the government to control your brain and Bill Gates to steal your top candy crush score.

This is the same technique at work with economy btw: economy is scary and complex…here a simple answer “Trump will fix it because he is rich so he understands money”

Democrats talk to rationality (and sometimes rationality crosses emotions e.g. with abortions rights), Republicans talk to emotions, where facts, interests, justice doesn’t matter

  • This quote is not true (see this article for further details).

But even if it was it would mean something different. In Italian “corporazioni” are not “corporations” (corporations are “grandi aziende”). Corporazioni are organisations of people doing a specific work. For example masons could have their own Corporazione (they don’t, Mussolini created the “ordini” but mainly for professions so for example even today for being an engineer you must register with the engineers corporazione).

Assuming that quote was true and assuming the translation was somehow literal (hard to say without an original text) it would mean that state and productive sector should collaborate (for the greatness of the nation likely, given his kind of speeches).

Also, Fascism was definitely not capitalism. Mussolini imposed in the board of the directors of every large company one member of the Fascist party. This for controlling their behaviour and making sure that they were aligned with the fascist agenda. Not exactly freedom (it was never their point) but not unchecked power of the corporations either.

  • I got my first Covid in the summer 2022, it was horrible and it was just the tip of the iceberg. I went from working out 5-6 days at week (for 50-70min) to waking up already exhausted. I tried to rest, I tried to work out regardless (and it was super hard to recover) I was always exhausted. This has a toll on all aspects of my life, relationships got severed by me not being available, work was ok (thank goodness I am at a seniority level lower than I actually am) but not great. I went to the doctors but there is no test for long covid so they started testing me for everything and, of course, got lost in all possible imperfection of my body

In December 2023 I got my second Covid. It wasn’t that bad and, incredibly, after that I started to slowly (over months) to recover. I am still not at the level I used to be before (I get tired much more easily) but now I can have a normal life.

Yes, I had 3 vaccines doses before my first Covid… and, even if in my country the Covid vaccine is discouraged for people that aren’t old enough, I keep on doing.

Some people are just more susceptible and it is not the “cold” that some people think it is

  • I guess each person is different. I have zero sexual interest for women under (at very least) 25 (i am slightly older than him at the time they meet)

Even if they look older than they are, i still have no interest because there is too much different life experience and expectations. I just don’t click (as a friend let alone as lover or partner).

Why 18 and not 17 or 25? Well society decided this is a (imo conservative, could have been higher) threshold for old people to have sex with young people.

Also 17 year old people can totally have sex with people of similar age (and we all have done 🙂) so it is not really about sexual self determination but rather avoiding predatory/manipolative behaviors of (much) older partners/lovers
