I love project moon! The setting of The City is so cool! I spent way more time in Limbus than Lob Corp or Ruina, because both of those are way too hard for me XD

Silksong is the highly anticipated sequel to the original game Hollow Knight. It’s a metroidvania game with a cult following. The sequel has been in development for years, and people are super hyped for its release, proven even more so by the fact that an industry giant like steam not being able to keep up with demand
Big second for Lovers In a Dangerous Spacetime. Purely co-op, very simple controls so even people who aren’t super into games can play, and a super cute aesthetic make it a great ‘We wanna play a game, but don’t want to sweat’ kinda game.
I always bring up Crawl in these threads because it’s so good, and I rarely ever see anyone talking about it! The way that players are always ‘switching teams’ is so fun!
I love QUD and I have never in my wildest dreams thought to try to play it on the steam deck. I’ll have to give it a go sometime
The FDA actually revised their donor rules for LGBT donors, so many blood donation places, the red cross for example, no longer have this restriction.
Exotic coloration and a big one to! Definitely a keeper
Man, I have a new favorite animal, and it turns out it’s a plastic clip
We used a hot plate that we could dial specifically to 70c so there was less risk of damaging the battery. Just leave the phone face down on it to bake, and after a few minutes the adhesive pulls apart easily.
iPhone XS is child’s play, I genuinely can’t fathom why a repair shop (Apple store no less) couldn’t replace a screen on that device. 7 screws (including the pentalopes) and some heat is all you need. Takes 5 minutes of actual repair and another 2 or 3 to run the calibration software.
I’ve worked in a repair shop before, and we would actually do similar with specific devices. The difference with us I guess is that we wouldn’t take it for repair without you consenting to that prior to us even checking in the device. For things like the original Microsoft Surfaces, and some Lenovo laptops, they’re glued together so tightly that opening them up to fix something is basically impossible without breaking the screen that is on it.
Also with us if we took it for repair and couldn’t fix it, it either had to come back in the same condition, or we fronted the bill for a replacement.
None of this applies to phones at all though. I’d be really interested to hear what device was so difficult that they couldn’t repair it, because all current gen Samsung, Apple and Google Pixel devices are definitely repairable, as long as you have the proper software tools.
I’m great at getting liquid in my lungs. After so long you would think I would have figured out how to drink liquids, but I fuck it up all the time
Hold on now, keep cooking
I work at a call center for insurance stuff and regularly have people start the call with ‘REPRESENTATIVE’ or ‘SPEAK TO A HUMAN’ because they think I’m still a part of the IVR system. One thing to keep in mind with any call center, is that no matter how specific you feel like your problem is, that rep has said that exact same line thousands of times, probably a few times that same day. For a lot of issues, it’s the same thing, just swap some names and numbers. And when you say the same thing over and over, you get really good at communicating the exact information that someone needs with as few of the little imperfections that’s make a conversation sound ‘human’ as possible.
We’ve always called it the Carolina squat
I love roguelikes, probably one of my favorite genres, so much so that I started playing rogue for a while to see what the OG was like.
And by sales numbers, 100% Pyre would be their worst game, but I’m far past judging a games content by its sales at this point.
And it’s easy to see why Hades is loved by so many, it’s a great game! Just definitely my least favorite of all of Supergiant’s stuff.
I have the exact same take, and the exact same experience with my friend group. I love supergiant games. Anything they touch is solid gold imo. I’ve always said that Hades is an amazing game, it’s just supergiant’s worst game.
Personally, I think for me, it comes down to the setting. Bastion, Transistor and Pyre all had amazing, unique settings that made me as a player want to learn and explore everything I could. And again, Hades does an amazing job of painting the setting and fleshing out the characters, but it’s kinda just Greek mythology, which has been done before and I personally find it less interesting.
To restate, Hades is an amazing game, just imo it’s supergiants worst game.
I’m so happy for you!
They said through clenched teeth while white knuckeling their desk, waiting to get off work so they can go back to playing Oblivion Remastered
I think the ‘problem’ the meme is referencing is supporting centralized social media run by corporations. I think the ‘problem’ you are talking about is more along the lines of tech addiction. Something can fix one problem without fixing every problem.
Finally, a quest I can relate to and get behind.
Go murder a bunch of crabs to make the town safer? Size your destiny and become the legendary hero? Tired, cliche, no thanks.
We wanted to make some banger cheese, so we left it in the dungeon to age, but now a dragon lives there and I really want that cheese? Now THATS a quest I wanna go on!
