For me it’s the other way around. Lemmy.world blocking threads for exactly no reason except to make a circlejerk happy is a reason for me leave Lemmy altogether, not just this instance. So far yall just show me that here only the “I want to special” crowd exists. Doesn’t even matter which instance.
Again, if YOU don’t like it, block it. Let me and the silent majority just enjoy this platform, WITH threads people, whether you feel attacked by that or not. Just to make sure everyone can follow: YOU block threads FOR YOURSELF, you do not force that shitty decision on everyone else.
And give me examples, actual proof, that threads is a cesspool. So far I’m not seeing it, I only see crying and bitching about "what if"s. That is just pure hatred. Lemmy is a far worse place because of all this. It’s seriously making me consider to leave ans go back to something where people are actually welcoming, like Threads.
Edit: I’m still missing evidence against Threads. Either there is none or yall haven’t even visited the dn thing before trying to “reason” about it.

You throw stuff at your colleague, but there’s a fan producing wind influencing the direction for each throw. You have some objectives to do, like getting him to pull a pencil out of his ears or swallowing a phone. It’s a rather short game but it is funny.
Apart from my usual rounds of Fortnite and casual Cities Skylines, I’ve been re-enjoying Office Jerk on iOS again and got a few laughs out of it 😁

Ubcharted is visually stunning and I really like the story it tells.
GTA 5 STILL is a game where I find new things.
Webkit is an incredibly complex and rich engine for rendering web content. That kind of content comes in so many uncountable varieties that still need to work correctly. Easy example, this is equivalent:

Even though it shouldn’t but there’s enough idiots doing this so the browser supports it.
Now imagine, on top of that there’s also a huge engine interpreting runnable code (Javascript). Any runnable code is inherently unsafe so it has to be sandboxed. That’s where the vulnerabilities come into play. There are so many ways to break a sandbox and it’s impossible to 100% find every single one.
Regarding experimental Features: These are for developers to verify their stuff works with upcoming features. If you don’t want that, just don’t use that. That simple.
My cat was diabetic. Had to give her insulin shots but she absolutely managed that extremely well. She understood it improves her condition and was happy to follow instructions. After leaving out the dry food she recovered and doesn’t need insulin anymore. However, as a result of the diabetes she now can’t process sugar or wheat at all. She’ll vomit that right out. Luckily, the cheapest brands at the supermarket don’t use either of those in their wet food, only the expensive brands. Go figure.
