Oh, I totally agree. I think anyone with masks and paramilitary look, no or obscured plates, and unwilling to identify themselves with masks and gear on should absolutely be questioned.

The reality is that those people are hitting random humans on the street when no law enforcement is around which makes it hard for law enforcement to engage them if ordered to. When they are present, it’s at the detention facility and they’ve gotten pepper balled and tear gassed but I don’t know what legal route they have since it’s a federal facility and I don’t know what constitutes federal jurisdiction and is/isn’t allowed.

It’s almost like you need to KNOW who the person is and have an actual case to…uh, prosecute? You don’t just go throwing cases around. You do have to “look” into things first.

The people in charge of ICE are federal and have internal loyalists that won’t give up names or deployments to state authorities. It’s documented somewhere though and it won’t be found until after Trump is out because you need to get people in who can put pressure through firings and appointments who will then be able to collect that info.

If the majority of the Rs wanted to then, yes, they could drum up his support. They could make the case that he was handpicked by Trump and many in Congress could come out endorsing him as Trump’s disciple and maybe even say he would be firmer in his decisions than Trump was.

I think many underestimate the Republican hive mind. It could, also, easily go the other way and totally implode but I think as long as they can have someone to take Heritage Foundation orders then they could/would rally around that person in order to not lose their momentum.

I don’t know that I believe the repeated notation of point 1. Sure, Trump has the charisma that is stringing a lot of people along but I truly think people will rally behind someone else once he’s gone. They don’t need charisma, they just want that person that will align with hurting anyone that isn’t White and who will say that they will protect their pocket book.

All Trump did was break the typical mold of politics, but the things he’s doing are what Republicans have wanted and what they’ve been priming people for years. The pundits like Hannity or whomever will become the mainstream influencer on social will whip the people up to support a certain politician of their choosing and I’m betting they will align.
