This really might be the one that gets him. It’s one thing when self driving doesn’t quite work right or when that tunnel project gets abandoned. If they install these things and people get seriously hurt (I know cars can hurt people) it’s going to be a shit storm.
What does “will get upgraded” mean here. I have google fiber on the 1gig plan. I pay $70 a month and they email nearly weekly asking if I’ll upgrade to the 2gig for $100. 1gig is plenty for me but if I can take 20gig for $70 I guess I’ll take the upgrade.

Let take a creative job like writing for a tv show. They will hire writers that have various background and they will pull from them with interesting scenarios and ideas.
I always though that there is a nearby endless amount of random people just going about their life that might have amazing ideas for shit. They will never be a tv show writer because their an accountant or a teacher or whatever. However, they might have a ton or even one really great idea.
Me and my wife like to get high and pitch ideas back and forth. When we have a good one we put into a google doc. They’ll never see the light of day but I’m sure I’d the right person had access to them they could make them into something great.
I guess my point is there is a huge untapped creative bucket of “regular people”.
I have a deep love for Halloween season. I always wanted to get a waterphone. They are just a little to expensive for something that would 100% be a novelty.

Offline maps are a little above a “nice to have” feature for me. However, I think it makes it worth giving it another solid try for a few weeks. I’ll check it out as soon as iOS 17 hits.
I’ve always used google maps on my iPhone and it has offline maps. I use it pretty regularly on trips to be damn sure I can get where I’m going regardless of cell signal.
I never used Apple Maps because it was HORRIBLE when it first came out. I used it a few times more recently and it’s actually pretty decent. With offline maps I might give it another real try.
My company has a mandatory 3 days in office policy already. However, they haven’t given any details about how it’s calculated.
If I have a vacation Monday & Tuesday do those count toward my days or not? If not what if I’m out Monday - Wednesday? We have unlimited PTO so there is no formal record keeping of my days off. How does my boss (or whoever is counting my days) factor in considering my PTO? If I did 5 days one week does that mean I could do 1 day the next week? What about traveling for work?

It being huge is an understatement. They have dorms where people live on-site and it’s they are massive. Multiple soccer complexes and tons of restaurants all on campus.
I visited the BYD factory years ago. I have no idea how big it is compared to others but it absolutely blew my mind. I was up on like 5th floor and when they sounded the lunch bell it looked like ants out the window. I think they said it was about 600k employees in that building.

Let The Right One In - 2008 low budget Swedish horror film. I’d always heard it was well regarded and it did not disappoint one bit. Delightfully tense, cathartic, and unsettling.
I personally also liked the remake. It get some bad reviews but I think it’s mostly unjustified. It’s probably not as good as the original but is still pretty solid.
