10·1 year agoThey have their branding which will push people to use their platform. More people using their platform = more content coming from threads. Once they have enough posts from threads that people from other instances are used to seeing mostly threads content they’ll defederate. People will miss the volume of posts and then move to threads.

I’ve been using ad nauseum, not only does it block ads, it clicks them all in the background so you send bunk data to the ad companies and cost them money for each ad clicked, it’s fractions of pennies each time but it’ll add up.
An actually helpful answer is that there is a creator on tiktok called offlain who makes a series of videos called “try not to get scared scariest stories”. The series has a rotating cast of characters such as Mr teeth, the meatworm, evil knife guy, the fuck you guy, Jeffs the killer, and The Creature. The creature is a cow that the narrator is scared of. Here’s a popular The Creature story: I am so excited for the movie, I exclaims with excitement.
