You’re correct, but somehow PC became a term for a windows, or non-mac computers. Probably because of all the advertising apple did to set Macs apart from other computers.

Loofah is a vegetable and it’s pretty good. It’s also processed to make the shower sponges we all know and love: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Luffa
You would have sold the Bitcoin long before it was as valuable as it is today like almost everyone that’s had Bitcoin over the years.
It does kind of work though. It’s prefacing the meme by telling the reader to imagine that the text represents their point of view.
I’ve driven through Oregon before back when you weren’t allowed to pump your own gas and it felt ridiculous and inconvenient waiting for an employee to come pump gas for you. But maybe that’s just because I’m accustomed to self serve.
For groceries it’s nice to have the option to do self checkout. If I have a small number of items then self checkout is faster/easier. If I have a large number of items then going through the line with the cashier is faster/easier.
Do you feel the same about self serve gas?
It’s just a tool like any other. An experienced developer knows that you can’t apply every tool to every situation. Just like you should know the difference between threads and coroutines and know when to apply them. Or know which design pattern is relevant to a given situation. It’s a tool, and a useful one if you know how to use it.
Not really, it’s doable with chatgpt right now for programs that have a relatively small scope. If you set very clear requirements and decompose the problem well it can generate fairly high quality solutions.
Extremely misleading title. He didn’t say programmers would be a thing of the past, he said they’ll be doing higher level design and not writing code.

Communities tend to attract like minded individuals. It’s not that everyone is exactly the same, but those that are very different or have very different opinions don’t generally stay for long. That said, even within those like minded individuals there’s a wide spectrum of opinions.
For me there are a handful of topics I know I’ll get down voted for sharing, because it goes against the majority. And that’s fine, it doesn’t stop me from sharing my opinion, and I don’t really mind the downvotes. I think in general though as long as you’re able to share your opinion with nuance and self awareness, and it’s not something mean or hateful people will hear you out.
This entire post is about a woman that was shot and paralyzed for not wearing a hijab. Stop deflecting. It’s absolutely fair to criticize bad things done in the name of Islam. Feel free to create a separate post about bad things done in the name of Christianity, I’m sure you’ll have no issue finding numerous examples. But stop distracting from the oppressive environment women find themselves in in modern day Iran.
They’re not really in need of rescue though, they’re on the ISS. Their return vehicle is just a pile of garbage. Thanks again, Boeing.
Thank you. Finally someone understands. Jokes aside though, I think we can acknowledge that C/C++ have caused decades of problems due to their lack of memory safety.
C++ is the problem. C++ is an unsafe language that should definitely not be used for kernel space code in 2024.
Sushi is quite popular in the US, so probably.
I haven’t watched the video yet, but I thought this was widely known. You diet to lose weight and you exercise to gain muscle and cardiorespiratory fitness.
Probably to see how much fuel is left in it
Phillips strips way, way easier than Torx. Stripping generally happens when a screwdriver cams out, or pops out of the screw. Here are some excerpts from Wikipedia of Torx vs Phillips.
The hexalobular socket screw drive, often referred to by the original proprietary brand name Torx ( /ˈtɔːrks/) or by the alternative generic name star drive, uses a star-shaped recess in the fastener with six rounded points. It was designed to permit increased torque transfer from the driver to the bit compared to other drive systems. The drive was developed in 1967[44] by Camcar Textron.[45] Torx is very popular in the automotive and electronics industries because of resistance to cam out, and extended bit life, as well as reduced operator fatigue by minimizing the need to bear down on the drive tool to prevent cam out.
And Philips on the other hand:
The Phillips screwdriver design has a tendency to cam out during operation due to angled contact surfaces which create an axial force pushing the driver out of the recess as torque is applied. Despite popular belief,[2] there is no clear evidence that this was a deliberate design feature. When the original patent application was filed in 1933, the inventors described the key objectives as providing a screw head recess that (a) may be produced by a simple punching operation and which (b) is adapted for firm engagement with a driving tool with “no tendency of the driver to cam out”.
I’m not sure about Allen. It doesn’t cam out very much, but it does still strip a lot easier than Torx. Probably due to the smaller contact points.
Just because she was ok with it when you first started dating doesn’t mean she has to accept it forever. That is a lot of money to spend on a a hobby. Especially if you guys haves shared finances, it’s reasonable to make financial decisions together, and to cut back spending if it’s excessive or find ways to compromise.
