That’s not how acronym pronunciation works though. We don’t pronounce them based on the words they stand for, otherwise we would pronounce NASA, SCUBA, LASER, etc. differently. Both pronunciations have valid arguments so why can’t we just accept both and stop being weird about it.

See, I actually think the F&F franchise is the exception here. The first one is just about some folks who like cars stealing DVD players. If it had just been that movie, I think it would have been mostly forgotten. It’s not bad, but it’s not iconic on its own. With each subsequent one they continue to lean harder and harder in to ridiculousness to the point where suddenly we have Tyrese and Ludacris in SPACE. To me the franchise is an example of how to do the action movie right: with a huge amount of self awareness and never taking it too seriously. They know what kind of movies they’re making.

In addition to what the other reply linked about cleaning the cartridges, it could be your SNES has some bad capacitors. Not all games use all parts of the motherboard, and from what I understand SNES consoles were somewhat plagued with bad caps like many electronics from the era. If you can solder it should be quite easy to just replace em all in one go; there are even kits you can buy that include all the correct ones.

Private companies are allowed to have many failures before they succeed, unlike NASA who lose public goodwill and therefore potentially lose funding when they fail. SpaceX blew up a ton of rockets before they succeeded in having the first reusable rocket. It’s much faster to iterate this way but also more expensive, so NASA cant really operate this way. Although on the other hand all the private aerospace companies seem to rely on government subsidies so it’s pretty crappy we cant just fund NASA more.

I feel like just more app icons in general are blue than any other color. Off the top of my head in addition to what you mentioned I have shazam, venmo, signal, steam, blink, reolink, dropbox, steam, paypal, discord, max, disney plus. And that’s not even counting one’s that are majority white but with blue as the only color. I think it’s just the most popular design choice or maybe there’s some sinister market research somewhere that shows people use/spend more on apps that have blue icons.

This is such a weird “america bad” take; having universal healthcare has nothing to do with wanting to hold corporations accountable for their shitty behavior.
