Just a dude who believes in the Fediverse over standard Social Media sites! I’m a fan of horror, cute animals, and handsome lads.

  • Yikes, EA is so freaking silly! Why leave money on the table by not presenting a revamped and fresh single-player experience?! They could make it backwards compatible with The Sims 4 letting you import families from The Sims 4 to The Sims 5. If they really want to keep The Sims 4 on life support like this; they need to put in the work with a revamped and much improved engine that can support all the weight which will be put on it. As there are people who will without a doubt buy all the packs and try to run them…To mixed results.

I don’t see Project Rene doing as well as they are hoping; for all the positive changes it will introduce to build/buy mode and even Create a Sim. The omnipresence of free to play bullshit will be evitable because EA (Evil, Actually) will use that as a means of fleecing player base of their hard-earned cash.

  • I feel like the missions are pretty good for the most part; I’m pretty far in but have yet to actually play more since a frustrating random encounter. I do find the unskippable skinning cutscenes and little too long animations for doing something a bit trying. Also, the bug where Arthur will stow all but his sidearms and main weapon after riding the horse for a few minutes. When you dismount, you’ve got to re-equip every time. This issue is fixed in multiplayer though, but sadly to this day unfixed in single-player. These are really my only gripes, as Rockstar did a good job of approximating the feel of the late 1800s in the USA.

  • Busy, a few days ago I had a boss battle phone call with Merrill Lynch to unlock my account, and it turned out I was using the wrong website (the associate on the other end pointed out they had too many). This was a necessary part of a process to fill out paperwork and provide documents for the written stuff. Today, I’ve got an appointment in the afternoon. A game called SunnySide that I backed on Backerit will be releasing on console tomorrow; I will be glued to my Xbox Series S for quite a while. Saturday, I’ve got dinner with friends at a new brewery. Thankfully, this is not the bad kind of busy.

  • I don’t know, I think they wanted that Google money so much they didn’t bother! It might have been in the cards, but perhaps Google beat them to the punch and evaporated their desire to create a search engine. Search engines are likely not a business that Apple wants to get too involved in as well, that’s something to consider. Sometimes it’s better to use what is already out there and not sink too much capital in something so uncertain. I doubt Apple would’ve seen a serious amount of success with Google being the top dog in search.

  • LOL Yeah, I get it…Thus my non-serious response. Who know why people do anything? Personally, I can’t downvote, as it seems to be disabled by my current server. There have only been a few times that I’ve seen a post or comment really need a good old downvote. There are capable orgs out there, for now, I suppose in their perspective it is only Mozilla who could handle it. However, open source code can be read and seen by anyone, so that means there are people out there familiar enough with Firefox to take it on if needs must when the devil drives.

  • I know a lot of women who play video games, I even like some of the games they like. The Sims 4 for example, Animal Crossing, Story of Seasons games; these ladies even like games which men tend to prefer like COD (that I as a man can’t stand anything multi-player or competitive). The problem with them revealing their gender online is that oftentimes they are faced with harassment by dudes bros online. It can get pretty gross quickly, so you’ll likely never know if the women surrounding you play video games because they’d only share that information if, as a person, you were one to be considered safe.

ROFL This is Apple we’re talking about, the slowest to innovate in the tech space. That would be a Samsung maneuver, in my opinion (if that giant tech corpo would even consider a FOSS ad-free search engine). Apple is just now getting some customization options this September with an update, something Samsung and third party launchers have pretty much solved years ago.
