I never said that no man ever is affected by violence but when nine out of ten women got sexually assaulted or harassed and that startimg from a young age, all the while the majority of men don’t seem to have problems being friends with these abusers it should be no surprise that many women will try to stay safe.

I have friends that get read as women who can’t do stuff that would be completely normal for any cis male (like going to a festival alone) because there is a real possibility of them being assaulted, murdered or at the very least getting harassed. Yeah, but it is way worse in men with the way they are socialized. Men are taught to not show emotions which results in them being worse at regulating emotions and not talking about issues with their peers since that would be seen as emasculating.
