  • So you come to a completely different and unrelated website (and community) to complain about it while using AI to write your post? I don’t mean to be rude, but this is a bit unpleasant.

If you’re leaving Reddit in favour of Lemmy then you’re welcomed. But keep in mind, we are not Reddit and don’t want anything to do with it. Also, keep your instance’s rules and those that may apply to the community to which you are posting. If you don’t like your current instance you can migrate to a new one or make your own.

    Welcome to Lemmy

  • Thanks for the info, I really didn’t know that, I used to do it because I intuited I’d save more gas by doing so, especially because I see the RPM hand go down when I’m not in gear. But I now I know that’s completely unrelated because as you say, the engine still spins, but it’s not using fuel. I just watched a couple of videos explaining in more detail. Thanks!

  • What I mean is: there is a place and a time. Don’t expect to enter a completely random bar insulting everyone and their mother and come out unscathed. On the other hand, if you know the people in this bar and you are the best of friends, then by all means, they might even merrily punch back with something from their repertoire.

The internet is similar, don’t expect everyone to be your same age, gender and nationality.

We are strangers, we do not know each other, I mean no ill will towards you and I hope you don’t either. I respect you by acknowledging you as a sentient and intelligent person with wants and needs equally as important as my own. I will not throw insults at you because in most human cultures (If not all) insulting a person you do not know is a social taboo. If you break that social convention you become an antagonist, and by your unwillingness to participate in society you turn yourself into an outcast.

This might sound cool for a 14 year old, but I urge you to imagine yourself in a remote area of the world at the mercy of an unknown civilization. I hope (for your own sake) that your first instinct is to appear as friendly and as least threatening as possible.

[TL;DR] Don’t be a jerk on the internet and then complain about everyone banning you.

  • I don’t know what a rightoid or a chud is, but here are a few pointers I hope are useful to you.

    • You are free to insult as many people on the internet as you please. You will not be very popular though, for that is generally frowned upon.

    • When speaking to strangers online keep in mind basic netiquette, and “read the air” per say.

    • The world does not revolve around the USA

  • You could try to find something that appeals to you both. It seems to me that you like animation and character-based stories a lot, and your girlfriend is obviously a gamer, so idk, maybe you could play the hollow-knight / silk-song games, they seem popular nowadays. Else one of you will have to “budge” and get into the other’s interest.

Also, you could do a “sales-pitch” and try to convince someone (either your girlfriend or a friend) about a particular piece of media. But don’t push it. If you share what you like about it and they’re not interested then leave it at that.

Idk I’m not good at social interactions either. But good luck!!

If you follow me, you have a sense of humour. If you’re reading this, you’re a reader. I’ve put this story online, free, gratis and for nothing, it’s a twelve minute read. […]

(For anyone who is confused, AaronDavid posts a bunch of boomer memes and then this paragraph of self-promotion, he’s a nice chap, some of his memes are funny!! It was unexpected seeing him here)

Come on, at least her style is kinda unique. People immediately recognize these panels as her own. However I must confess I didn’t like the style at first either, since then it’s grown in me and now I like it and appreciate it.

And, are your nudes any better?? /j
