Once again, you are painting with broad strokes. If a bad apple spoils the bunch then all of humanity is bad apples. A Christian following the teachings of Jesus in Scripture over the cultural American WASP perception of what those teachings are, does not necessarily enable those WASPs to do harm.

Lastly, if you are an American, do NOT settle medical claims. You have a long time to figure that all out and the insurance company wants to give you as little as they can possibly get away with and what ever you sign is the final amount they will help with. In Texas, you have 2 years to settle bodily injury claims. Take the time you need before you settle.

That’s why there was a large push for student debt forgiveness literally a year ago. But the right still flipped their shit. It’s not about fairness to the people in the past, it’s about fairness for those in the future. Children should not be in massive debt at 16 or 17. I’m not disagreeing with you. Just adding on that many of America’s unions are no longer for the members of said unions. They just collect dues and stay out of the way of the corporations they are meant to protect the workers from. It’s immensely frustrating to see such lack of action from them.
Many unions have become their own for-profit businesses that work with companies to keep their workers aligned with profit motivations of said business. But yes, I agree, we do need MORE unions who work for the workers.
40 hours is the normal expected work week in the US. But most states don’t have overtime pay requirements until after 48 hours of labor in a single week. Some states require an unbroken 8 hour rest period inside each 24 hours but not much more than that.
This one has also bothered me because I pronounce all three of these differently.
Actually I don’t think this one is true. Past tense of “to lead” is led. But also lead can be pronounced like led when referring to the metal or the element.
That’s the fun part, depending on your dialect and regional accent, sometimes there is no discernable difference in some of these lines. But each line has distinct pronunciation from each other in some dialects.
