  • So you would rather they get off unscathed instead?

In a similar deepfake porn case at a school in New Jersey, no charges were brought, and the alleged perpetrator does not appear to have suffered any academic or legal penalties. Dorotha Mani, a mother of one of the New Jersey victims, outlined her frustration with the leadership at her daughter’s school in approximately three pages of written testimony to Congress published in March. In that document, she called Westfield High School’s tepid response as “not only disheartening but also dangerous, as it fosters an environment where female students are left to feel victimized while male students escape necessary accountability.”

  • Many revolutions and massive nation changes have happened so quickly that many never saw them coming. The Berlin wall coming down, the Duvalier’s and Assad’s reigns ending are three in relatively recent memory.

The thing is that the rich and powerful often miss the signs, if for no other reason than they fundamentally believe they are untouchable … because they are, until they aren’t.

What I find amazing is that the rich and powerful continue to be blind to the history of inequality and how many elites are killed, been overthrown and/or have to beg for asylum in foreign nations.

  • Do Squid Have Bones?

Squids are fascinating marine animals that belong to the class Cephalopoda. They are known for their unique body structure, which includes a soft mantle, eight arms, and two longer tentacles. But one question that often arises when discussing squids is whether or not they have bones.

Unlike most vertebrates, squids are invertebrates, which means they do not have a backbone or any internal skeleton.

However, they do have a hard structure called a pen or gladius, which is located inside their mantle. The pen is made of chitin, a tough and flexible material that also makes up the exoskeleton of other invertebrates like insects and crustaceans.

The pen serves several purposes, including providing support for the squid’s mantle and acting as a site for muscle attachment.

While it is not technically a bone, it serves a similar function and is often referred to as the squid’s “internal shell.” It is worth noting that not all cephalopods have a pen, and some species have evolved different structures to serve similar purposes. For example, the colossal squid has a unique “chitin shield” that covers its mantle.
