Let me tell you, it’s even worse for NSFW comms. I still infrequently moderate one on Reddit only because of the disaster that was my attempts to move it. There are only two notable instances that allow NSFW content, and the first one became incredibly hostile to 2D content, while the second made a name for itself hosting underage content (not real csam, but still too fucked up to associate with). And during the couple of months I was actually able to run the comm, I was literally the only person who posted despite clearly advertising to the reddit users and cross posting to other relevant fediverse comms.

It’s gonna be so fucking weird if this ends up like that “Meme from the future” back on Reddit that ended up looking like an Among Us meme years later…

There is no info about this school posted in this thread. There are multiple comments about a school people have assumed is similar. But hey, if you don’t know anything about what you’re commenting on, that’s by choice.

Except they don’t, which is the problem. Moderation of the forums is pushed off on developers, publishers and volunteers, and Valve only gets involved if they absolutely have to. It makes effective moderation of the forums dedicated to games made by small and solo devs functionally impossible, and allows for rampant abuse of the systems by publishers, such as Take Two marking negative reviews as “off-topic”.

This is a classic scam, seen it a million times. Multiple accounts are made in batches and allowed to sit for a while using up the last batch.

As a leftover from Reddit, they put a minimum time on these accounts before they start automatically posting. This was done to get around automod blocks for account age.
