They pollute the air with toxic chemicals and fine dust, spiking asthma and breathing problems. After events like July 4th or Diwali, air quality drops dangerously — and people with lung issues feel it immediately.

The noise isn’t just loud — it’s traumatizing. Pets panic, birds die, and people with PTSD or autism often suffer in silence.

Tradition isn’t a good excuse when it causes this much damage. Not all traditions are worth keeping — especially when they hurt the most vulnerable.

Can totally relate. Usually you get 1-2 reactions but if you hit 4 or more, you know that you did it.

In Austria you totally can and it costs € 30 / year. But for the new ones you can simply torrent them because nobody cares here.

Totally feel you. I’m also from central Europe and currently making a vacation in Thailand and it’s crazy how there almost no sidewalks. It feels like the government forces you to rent a scooter or in your case to buy a car to get around safely.

This sounds like a place where everything is built around cars and walking is not a real option. 😟

When I was 20 I ate pizza and drank soft drinks every day for two years straight and I was fine. Having the youth and body that allows you to make tons of mistakes is great.

Me: 4,6 seconds to make an avarage breath cycle. About 4000 steps on an avarage day.

After 1 year I would get ~343.000 €/$ for breathing or 365.000 €/$ for walking.

So yes it is better to get the money for walking but what if I ever lose the ability to walk but not to breath?
