Not sure what you call this kind of cat but I had one for 20+ years and it was just the raddest little dude ever, made people who didn’t like cats turn into cat lovers. He was just always very friendly and sociable. He could handle himself in San Francisco and Los Angeles. Had street smarts, would send dogs away yelping, was really smart, and didn’t even let out a whimper that one time he came back from the vacants with his clearly broken leg draggin around.

Kinda sucks, doesn’t it?

Still, I keep picturing your dad, basking in sweat, running a pho shop in Ho Chi Minh in the summertime or the like, wiping his brow with chicken-stock soaked dish towels.

I’m just glad someone had some idea what I was trying to describe.
