I’m also playing through the first game at the moment, I’m about halfway through though with the main quest, and taking my time with side quests and activities at the moment.
I’m really enjoying my time with it.
However I completely agree with the person you’re replying to, the game isn’t hard or difficult at the beginning it’s obnoxious, once you understand these systems, which you’ll be lucky to do in-game, you can deal with it and the more you play the more accessible the game becomes, but in the beginning you have to be too efficient and adapt to a very unfamiliar experience.

I picked mine up last year, and a PSP GO also. They’re great litte machines and I prefer them to my Steam Deck for certain things, the size and quality of hardware is in the sweet spot.

I recently got Demon’s Souls up and running on my Steam Deck, it ran so well and I got totally absorbed in it playing it once through with the Blueblood sword.
This got me in the mood for more Souls-likes, so I just finished off The Surge 2.
It’s a better game than the first, more interesting combat, but suffers from similar issues to the first in long travel times, sometimes confusing level design and sometimes the combat can be frustrating.
