It can be unpredictable and things change and as long as there is no malice on the son’s part this is a piece of your husband’s life you married into. I don’t think it’s at the point where you can make demands but do speak with him about it and keep a very open mind. One day his son will leave and this will have been a beautiful time in your husband’s life so please don’t push him. I wish I had this kind of relationship with my dad.
