The thing I liked with 1 and 2 was that they both tried to tackle big ideas of past trauma, even if it didn’t come out well the big thinking was in there while a lot of recent things I’ve watched has felt skin deep at best

If this thread is anything to go by, me and my other half were the only people on the planet that actually enjoyed Picard S1 and 2, and didn’t like S3 as much.
In that spirit, if a film is made I look forward to enjoying it even if I’m the only one.
Nice photo!
Also, I do love the Delta (and the Ebre in general, travelled a lot of it’s length this year up in Aragón)
Me at 20: Mariner.
At 30: Tendi.
At 40: T’Lyn.
Now: politely staying home and posting on Lemmy.
As with so much in life, it’s best to read the manual first. It can get a little dry in places though, like any instruction manual, but I enjoyed all of it because I’m the sort of person who likes normal manuals, lol
Suddenly the Broccoloid episode of The Powerpuff Girls reads as anti-LGBT propaganda
I dunno, I think maybe some things should just be left alone
Oh fab, I’ll keep an eye out for it. It’s one of my favorite books :-)
It is at that :-)
Did they get different people to record each story?
The Zombie Survival Guide by Max Brookes is a detailed fictional instruction manual. It’s sequel is World War Z which is closer to a normal book, but still has an odd structure of creating a world through interviews … and the The Zombie Survival Guide book exists within it.
Depends on how well the first season goes, the producers are a little cautious in case the bears aren’t really as viscous as they said on their CVs.
It’s a reality TV series where D-list personalities are dropped in the middle of the forrest and have to hike out without being eaten by bears.
Fair enough, it just outdoes any dissonance between T1 and T2 by a factor of 10, hence being curious about your thoughts ;-)
I loved the original, when I had only seen the TV cut which doesn’t include the protagonist committing rape. I’ve seen the full version all of once and that just broke it for me.
I have the sequel on my to-watch list, but will be starting it off in a guarded manner.
How do you feel about Tenet?
Also, Awareness. That was a garbage fire … how someone got millions to make what amounts to a 12 year old boy’s power fantasy is beyond my comprehension.
It is pleasing to see my culture represented in popular media. You may continue.
The problem arises when a cartoonist takes on something serious. It puts those two compartments together and rips out your heart, like First Dog on the Moon did today.
Not enough deciduous trees for that!
