I like floor lamps. They can be pointed at the floor/ceiling for ambient light, or pointed at what you’re working on/reading. They don’t take up desk space, or fall over as easily.
I think it’s worth trying putting the link in the post body. Mastodon might generate a preview image with it.
Another option would be creating the posts on mastodon, and mentioning the lemmy community. The KDE community uses this method for their announcements. Example: https://lemmy.world/post/27768851
btw you can’t link to the image on github directly like that - the link expires after 5 minutes. I think https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/d6fddb38-0c71-4e79-81f6-0a359c41e7fc should work though.
I know a couple who got married in a 2-person camel costume.
I feel like snac is social media made specifically for people who like C though. I’m sure most users of it are well aware of the implications.
Kate (and now Kdevelop) support LSPs, so you should get the same autocomplete experience as VS code.
Note that some LSPs are not what I would call lightweight. You might have a lighter experience using Kdevelop’s python support, rather than an LSP for example (I’ve not tested though). Or research to see if alternate LSPs are available for a language.
From what I can tell, raylib is just a library? In which case it should work with any autocomplete (Kdevelop or LSP) for whichever language you use.
Kate includes many default LSP configurations, and links to their download pages in it’s LSP settings. LSPs may also be available in your system’s package manager.

. WHY? it’s bizarre.
This page seems to say it just links to facebook groups? https://buynothingproject.org/find-a-group
I also can’t see a way of finding groups without making an account.
https://www.freecycle.org/ is a good option, and can be browsed without an account.
I’ve been using mailbox.org for a while, and I’m happy with it. It costs 1€ per month at it’s lowest. They have also been developing an open source video conferencing thing (included in the 1€), which from my experience is much better than jitsi.
p2p from behind a CGNAT works just fine as long as a single server is accessible and can mediate connections between other peers. Most non-servers are behind some sort of NAT these days.
Well I only play a single game, at 30fps and 50% resolution, because I really dislike the fan coming on.
Outside games, I guess higher resolution is better for reading text, but 2k should be enough for that.
Maybe it’s a soy sauce situation. Bears are named after bears cave.

trefle.io has data from various sources, though a lot of pages are rather empty.
Well… I’ve tried to find out just now. Most taller lighthouses are on small rocks in the sea. On some the lighthouse covers the entire rock. I have also discovered that there are potentially taller land-based lighthouses in the uk, this one just seems to be best at advertising it.

From my experience, the large button does the flush, but the size of the flush depends on how far you push it down. The small one simply pulls the large flush button down with it, but stops it from going more than half-way, resulting in a smaller flush.
I assumed it was communication between cats. Mine do it to eachother, usually when they get home. Sometimes they do it to me as well. They also do it if they see something out of the window though.
