Summary

Prosecutors in Trump’s case involving 34 felony counts of falsifying business records tied to hush money payments have proposed delaying sentencing until after his presidency, citing the unique legal challenges posed by his election.

Trump’s lawyers argue the case should be dismissed based on a Supreme Court ruling on presidential immunity, but prosecutors assert that the trial evidence remains strong.

This case marks the first criminal conviction of a former U.S. president and has sparked intense legal and political controversy.

It is a lovely quashing of dissent of fascism that we’re seeing. Make no mistake, they will go for the throat in January. But this? This is embarrassing and a dereliction of oath and accountability. This should have been done in 2021 instead of making this wet fart of a political statement in the year of an election.

This whole ordeal feels like a massive miscalculation from the Democrats. They slow-played Trump’s prosecutions so that they could convict him after he secured the nomination. He should have been charged with everything they had in 2021.
