A new website ( BigBoxDB.com )  offers a nostalgic journey back to the 1990s and early 2000s by allowing users to view and interact with 3D models of retro PC game boxes. This project, led by Adam 'Hans' Zwakenberg, a programmer at Digital Extremes, features over 250 classic games such as Dungeon Keeper, Diablo, and Age of Empires. Users can rotate the boxes in three dimensions and even open some to view the interiors, which sometimes include additional information and illustrations. Although the image resolution is currently low, Zwakenberg is working on improvements.https://Twitter.com/AdamZwakk/status/1848072152198549774 He encourages contributions from other collectors via a

Games should start releasing 3D box arts that come with each game again. They could even have manuals that you have to search for inside the box. Then hide tips and tricks in the manual so people are inclined to read every page.

Could even make a good teaser site for an upcoming title.

A Steam library view with shelves of boxes would be so cool. Sorta like what GOG has

I’ve seen a few different ones, although I haven’t seen one specifically for PC games. I’ve seen Etsy shops like this one and websites like this one for mini versions.

Super cool idea — but they have a repeated crashing bug to fix on mobile Safari.
