              As your neighbor slightly to the north, you have my deepest sympathies. My aunt had to find temp housing up in Michigan cause it’s too hot, even with the AC on blast.

              Funnily enough she’s staying with this gay couple that rented out their basement to her.

              Her KKK husband must be running in his grave, cause they seem to be getting along great!

              It doesn’t get that unpleasant in Indiana very often, but I live near a golf course and I’ve seen golfers out in recent weeks both when it was in the 90s but felt like over 110 with the humidity and not a cloud in the sky and also when it was thunderstorming.

              Apparently there are some very dedicated, but stupid, golfers out there.

    What I find most mad is that Kamala Harris is nearing retirement age for many industries - yet compared to many in her line of work she seems like she’s in her thirties and has a whole new career ahead of her.

      We came within 1 year of having the first ever Gen X major party nominee (and immediately after the first ever Silent Generation president). But, she’s a yet another boomer by 1 year.

    I just walked my dog past a big red pickup truck with stickers that had a picture of Biden with “I just shit my pants” and “BLM: Biden Loves Minors” (so classy) and it really struck me how extremely Biden focused the Republican memes have been.

    Like we used to have “Pelosi is secretly running things” or like even Mitt Romney was running against Obama but his attacks were about Democrats as a whole, they were tax and spend liberals building the nanny state.

    The flip side to Trump’s immature style is that it IS extremely specific, and like you can’t just go “actually it’s Meatball Nikki Haley.” Obviously you can invent different immature nicknames and memes but it is hard to telegraph them with the convention out of the way.

      I just saw a headline that Trump appears to be upset because he’s spent so much time and money fighting Biden, and none fighting Harris or other potential candidates.
