What’s the relationship between plasma-desktop, plasma-mobile, and plasma-bigscreen? Are they the same thing but with some different configs/patches/etc or are they three seperate but heavily interconnected projects?

They all use the same KDE stack, just the shell on top is different. They share as much code as possible.
