I agree. It never really felt like there was anything to differentiate the agdq and sgdq events from their daily shows while everything was remote. It just never felt the same without everyone playing on the couch.
I liked the online events because it was easier for them to get runners from around the world to participate. Also, I think the rhythm game showcases would have never happened without the online-only GDQs.
I’m glad they’re back to in person events, their online stuff didn’t kept my interest over the past couple of years.

They do online programming all week these days, and there’s something special about the in-perwon energy.
