I’ve been on the receiving end of that before too, at one of the first companies I worked for. It blows, but it taught me a good lesson about what to expect from employers and where to set boundaries between work and life.
Yeah, but that’s for future me to deal with.
I always fail to use my vacation throughout the year so this is when I am off on Monday and Friday for 4-5 weeks. Going back to a 5 day week in January really sucks.
Maybe nip that in the bud next year and just continue it through January
