    Billions per month… in just the US… I’m gonna guess they’re just going with the total amount of scans because the US certainly doesn’t have that many vehicles.

      Every car is getting scanned multiple times during their commute. The entire issue is they’re basically surveiling everyone without a warrant, tracking where they go and when, and the police are bypassing the laws designed to prevent exactly this from happening by buying the data from a private company.
