Still the only modern android phones supported are FPs.
What’s a FP (in this context)??
FairPhone
WIsh they got more working…or I had more time/expertise for wifi drivers! I have a fairphone 4. This looks awesome.
Just an FYI the fairphone 4 seems supported by Ubuntu touch if you wanted to try it, only thing that may not work based on this table is VoLTE and gps may take longer to lock in because it’s not assisted.

Looks like for postmarketOS, they’re still working on audio/camera/GPS/NFC/calls

Looks like similar issues with Mobian as postmarketOS

Thanks for the info. At some point I may give it a shot. For now, though, its my daily driver and I need it to work reliably. /e/ seems to be good enough at that so im going to keep at it.
Yeah and even those are lacking very essential functionality. Its a nice project but its far from being a viable alternative for daily use.
While the OnePlus 6(T) isn’t modern and can only be obtained used, it does work really well!
Been messing around with postmarketOS on a newly obtained oneplus 6T 8GB ram model, and for a phone released in 2018, I’m shocked how well stuff runs, even with waydroid. Unfortunately VoLTE still doesn’t fully work so I can’t daily drive it, but messing around with it has been a joy!
Even though the whole OS is new to me, it still feels like I’m right at home from Linux, I can get daily updates through the console, etc. Sooo much nicer than android.
Yeah right? I really wished I had the 8GB model. It’s totally daily drivable.
It’s actually possible to enable VoLTE, there’s a thread on the postmarket OS gitlab somewhere.
I just saw that! Someone must have updated the article in the last week or 2 because I JUST went through the install process like 2 weeks ago and it wasn’t listed!
