Republicans have begun to frame the protests as “hate America rallies,”
I’m probably preaching to the choir here, but exercising your right to protest is one of most patriotic things you can possibly do.
Share that message with anyone you know who needs to hear it.
Some people are reclaiming the flag at protests
We sit around and bitch about the corporations caving to the alt-Reich, about Congress people just giving in to Trump, about ICE not having a conscience to do the things they do.
Yet as long as we only sit and bitch, as long as we’re not fighting back in some way, we are also complicit in what our country’s government does.
If you honk your horn to warn people ICE is around, you are protecting them. If you protest the regime, others will see that there’s are others standing up and this is not inevitable. If you call your Congress people, you are telling them what the will of the people is, and that people are watching their actions. You don’t have to do everything, but you should be doing something.
How can you expect corporations to care or Congress people to have a spine, if you won’t even pick up a phone? Courage, and consciences, are contagious.
STILL no kings? Is there at least an ETA?
If only the conditions making these protests necessary could have been prevented…

Edit edit to also remind that while trashing Dem candidates, we got crickets from them about Donnie and friends. It was an obvious agenda that several people recognized at the time. They did it before and they will do it again. Wait for election year.

I don’t think Ozma had much role in the decades-long neoliberal exploitation of the working class, the entrenchment of inoffensive focus group politics in the DNC, the persistent rightward shift of the Democratic political establishment or Biden and co. gloating about how much they were helping Israel’s genocide.

Lol. It was a complete stream of articles aimed at discouraging voting based on a single issue while never posting anything showing that the other side was going to be worse on the same issue, let alone disastrous for so many other reasons.

If that agenda influenced even on person not to vote, they were part of the problem. Voting is about choosing the best fit candidate, not the perfect candidate. Working to change the horrible status quo should be done outside of an election in which not voting is helping to usher fascism into the highest offices in this country.

Guessing you didn’t vote or aren’t a US citizen, and obviously don’t understand what this country lost by electing dipshit don into the presidency. Both sides are not the same no matter how delusionally you believe they are.
You got voting all wrong. Votes put money in people’s pockets. You gotta withhold the money to make them work for you, or the cycle just continues. If it wasn’t Trump this time, he would have run the next time, or some other loser to take his place. Gaza would still be rubble. People still being deported. Abortions still not legal federally. The two party system does not work and needs a reset. Whether that happened last election or a future election, it would lead to a bad time. Life is cyclical.
