I have a dual boot machine with openSUSE Tumbleweed and Windows 10 installed on separate drives. I use the Windows install solely for gaming.

With Windows 10 EOL coming soon, I would rather update to Windows 11 then give Michaelsoft money, but that would involve enabling my TPM (I already have secure boot enabled). Is this gonna cause any side effects in my Linux install?

I’ve had an issue playing a particular game, actually. When I had TPM turned on (and secure boot), it would freeze my computer so I would have to reboot it. When I turned those off, that issue didn’t affect me again. Since Linux doesn’t require it, I turn off TPM and secure boot (the FSF calls it Tivoization if I’m not mistaken) on my machine (I share one with a content creator I editor for in the past, that being Neigsendoig Cocules).
