My friend and I vividly remember a scene with Gomez/Gomez and Morticia waiting for Fester to wake up and staring over him while he sleeps. Gomez monologues to himself. Does this happen in the movie, Addams Family fans? Or did our brains make this up?

I could have sworn Gomez had a moment talking over Fester and thinking about their history or something.
I believe I found it in the first movie where Fester is asleep and Thing is on him and Gomez is staring down at them and takes Thing off him and Fester wakes up.
