OregonLive is known for gating links after the fact, so here’s the important bit for folks living under the Sinclair or Nexstar umbrellas:
“If you live in a broadcast region run by the Sinclair or Nexstar media companies, you can only watch the full Tuesday episode of “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” on Hulu (free trial) streaming the day after it airs, or you can watch Jimmy Kimmel’s opening monologue and more clips from the show on YouTube shortly after it airs (this should be some time after 8:30 p.m. Pacific Time on Tuesday).”
Thanks to the East Coast feed, the monologue is already online.
Yeah KATU is Sinclair I think. Extremely dangerous to our democracy and all that. I watch late night on YouTube, which is fine and all since I have no idea how to pressure KATU 2 to do anything. Complain to local advertisera?
Yes exactly that. Look for businesses that are advertising during his Jimmy’s time slot and then tell them you are considering a boycott due to their support for Sinclair’s actions.
I tuned in to see what they were doing. 11:00 PM was the normal newscast, with an INCREDIBLY young, nervous anchor. I felt a little bad for him.
11:35 they just re-ran the local news script.
