I’m kinda torn is the multitasking heavily dependent on keyboard/mouse or is it not that bad with touch?
minus-squareSumocat@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up10·1 month agoI’ve been using the new windowed UI with touch, no keyboard or mouse. For a UI that belongs at a desktop, it’s fine on iPad but not nearly as quick as the Split and Slide system.

minus-squarePetter1@discuss.tchncs.delinkfedilinkarrow-up3·28 days agoStay away! I regret updating my 11” so much! It brings 0 productivity to me having more than 2 windows, because they are too small for the big touch UI. Even worse is, that it now takes sooo many steps until you are finally in splitscreen. And then, you have a giant gab between the two apps. This is definitely not a touch first user experience anymore and I hate it. And to make matters even more worse, they removed SlideOver completely, even in fullscreen mode
