I hold the following opinions:

political violence is probably a bad idea. this is for multiple reasons, one of which being that it usually doesn’t create the intended effects.

there are a lot of political commentators like him. the benefit of having one less of them is overshadowed by the detriment of the reaction to a political assassination.

They’ve really carved out a niche as being just outside the level of militancy that’s politically correct. Punk is back, I guess.
There absolutely is justification for violence, political or otherwise. To say there is none is a violators way of ensuring they can continue to violate unchecked. Tagging politics as a motivator for such violence is also a misdirection. Hate is not political, race is not polical. What makes them seem political is the fact that they are accepted and pushed by our elected officials. Those officials fully believe they are and should be immune to any repercussions for what they do and say. This belief is what gives them the will to ignore the protests and laws on the books that go against their wishes. What other option does anyone have but to show them in the strongest way possible that they are destroying everything they touch?
Well, the Right is trying to make Kirk into a new Horst Wessel figure, so I’m registering this is as a based attempt to keep the Overton Window at its current position.

If these guys were themselves pacifists who prided themselves on giving every idea a fair hearing, I guess I would have a problem with any assassinations. As it is, there’s just one side trying to unilaterally manifest a certain level of civility. One that unfortunately doesn’t seem to exist.
Edit: I believe this complies with rule 6. Lack of concern about violence isn’t the same thing as advocacy.

Has he clarified? Death is specifically a thing that happens to individuals, not organizations, so it does not read this way to me.

IDF is an org though, and he said death to that. it reads pretty clearly as bing about bringing about an end to the org to me an. the other read relies too heavily on a dictionary definition than on the types of allegory rappers engage in. but as you said, maybe that’s just me
