Incineration, even in advanced plants like in Japan releases toxic fumes and is bad for people and environment. It also doesn’t address the issue of microplastics being released during the production and use of plastics. Let’s just stop it at the source.
Alternatively, if we’re going to keep doing it (we will) - why can’t we just incinerate it like Japan?
