Which is pretty fun. In the unlikely scenario I ever get to meet these bastards I can comfortably and calmly call them both traitors and cowards.

If they’re going to great lengths to redact the content, then they know what they did is illegal. If they like doing things illegally, then they are criminals. But right now, they’re in power. If they don’t want to get punished, then make what was illegal, legal.

They won’t do that, because they’d either get burned at the stake, or it ruins the pleasure of it for them. I think it’s the latter. The rich want things to be inaccessible to the have nots.

There is a scummy side to humanity that nobody likes to see. I cannot speak for people who defend him repeatedly doing the indefensible: but tribalism is a helluva thing - and we could all do better to avoid it.

Personally? I hope he is dragged kicking and screaming into court where he will be exposed and punished as the traitorous irredeemable scum I believe him to be.

Politicians People in positions of power need to be held to a higher standard and should be scrutinized relentlessly. There are some deep flaws in our system and one would hope that if any good were to come of all of this… we are able to repair the damage done and patch some of these holes (and learn from them.)
