The people who don’t support genocide are the ones who voted for harm reduction (i.e. Harris). Protest non-voters are the ones who love genocide so much they acted to ensure Trump won.
If you want to see cognitive dissonance, look in the fucking mirror.
If now isn’t the time, when is? It’s always “not the time”.
“It’s before elections, and we need to stand united! It’s after elections, and we need to give the protest voters enough grace to see how badly they fucked up! We can’t push them away now! It’s before elections, and we need to stand united…”
The reality is that protest voters threw their lot in with “whoever, I don’t care” and now they’re finding out that one side was, in fact, much worse. Something that the other side had been screaming and begging the protest voters to see.
No. The reality is that protest voters deserve to be lumped in with enlightened centrists and fence sitters, because they’re no better.
It’s never the time for minority infighting. Make your case, recognize that not everyone will agree, collaborate on shared goals and work independently where there are disagreements. But don’t waste your breath tearing each other down. It’s just not helpful.
In order for it to be “infighting” the “but muh Democrat genocide” concern trolls would have to actually be on our side, not fucking fascist Trump supporters commenting under a false flag – or at least useful idiots whose verbal diarrhea amounts to the same – that they actually are.
Frankly, the real correct action here would be for the mods to remove the disinformation and ban the trolls instead of continuing to try to engage with them in good faith. I guess good on @jordanlund for having so much patience, but it’s almost too much for his own good.

Y’all we really need to find a way to stop with the infighting. Now is really not the time.
This is not infighting, leftist and liberals are not the same
Not the same but in US politics left liberals and leftists are part of the same coalition by necessity.
Although, I’m also not convinced this debate divides people cleanly in terms of ideology. I definitely know plenty of leftists who voted for Kamala.

Removed by mod
That would require people tolerate others who don’t share basically all their opinions and I think we’re going the opposite direction of that rn
True but it’s a very stupid political strategy.
