My recollection of the situation is hazy but my understanding is they basically did a performative distancing until the heat died down and they’re still good behind the scenes. My understanding is they even started performing together again.

Yeah I’m a bit too naive maybe but even at the time I couldn’t imagine him actually throwing Kyle under the bus. So it always read to me like Jack was trying to make sure some MAGA psycho didn’t come shoot a bunch of people at one of their shows and he didn’t actually have a real problem with what Kyle said. I’m glad they are actually back performing together.

Yeah and he made that switch with Jumanji. Dove nose first into the corporate greed and started to milk money from parents.
Going from making classics like: Tropic Thunder, School of Rock, King Kong, Be kind rewind, Shallow Hall and even the first two Kung Fu Pandas were good.
Now it’s just: more Jumanji, Minecraft, borderlands, super Mario and milking every last drop out of Kung fu panda.

That whole scene could be cut from the film and nothing of value would be lost. If it wasn’t for the Tiktok hype, that scene would have been forgotten as filler in an otherwise amusing movie.
