#Top White House economist Stephen Miran apparently wants free handouts from other nations.

“Finally, Miran said that countries could “simply write checks” to the Treasury Department.”

As a European, what can I say but “fuck off”. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

All the people and penguins of those countries should meet up to negotiate alternatives to US.

That is good, hopefully country to country governments too, including the country of penguins to form new trade deal taking into account collapsing US economy.

That seems to be the biggest hurdle: e.g. quite a few EU-countries have paypment processors similar to PayPal but there’s so such solution for cross-border (although wero seems to be used is 3 countries and SEPA instant transfers are a thing).

There’s some push for linux, headed by the penguins, but no agreement on which distro and some even proposed us-based distros for some reason.

          Etc.

The EU has been so tepid thus far on the response. I hope the people of Europe keep up the pressure on their governments not to give in to this lunacy. Appeasement does not work.
