Summary

A federal judge ordered Trump’s DOGE to disclose documents on mass firings and agency cuts under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA).

U.S. District Judge Christopher Cooper ruled DOGE likely falls under FOIA, rejecting claims it was exempt. DOGE, led by Elon Musk, has recommended shutting agencies like USAID and laying off tens of thousands.

CREW sued for transparency, seeking records on DOGE’s operations and directives.

Cooper set a March 20 deadline for DOGE to provide a document release schedule, citing potential irreparable harm from delays.

I bet their minds are still reeling that not all information technology involves Javascript frontends or clicking buttons on a cloud’s dashboard.

I’m trying to imagine these asshats trying to document anything they’ve done. I’m imagining something more like the Carver episode in Silicon Valley where the kid is all strung out on Adderall and has put everything into shambles, is under the table, and is having a meltdown.
