What on earth happened to you that this isn’t an obvious and very relatable result. I fucking hated voting for Harris. And all this stupid vitriol should be pointed at her and Biden for not being able to do the very simple task of saying what we were all witnessing was abhorrent and our role in it was wrong. That should have been the default Democratic stance on genocide and war crimes. They’re the ones who made a truly incomprehensible choice to put devotion to Israel ahead of American democracy.

You could have shown some contrition or humility. It is Your government, that represents You that is encouraging ethnic cleansing abroad and also creating concentration camps for immigrants at home, making You complicit.

As I say, I feel like being lectured on morality by an American is a common occurrence. You love to tell people how to think and behave whilst you elect rapists and invade countries. And it isn’t just Trump I’m talking about. The US has nearly an unbroken record of inflicting trauma on the world, whether that is over oil, or politics.

I’m not unclear about whether this is a horrible moral tragedy. You’re the one downplaying that. A lack of power to change it isn’t a moral failing. An unwillingness to even correctly acknowledge the seriousness is.

I’m not British but I live in Scotland since it is a country that doesn’t lock immigrants up in concentration camps.
